EATING OUT

I don't really enjoy eating out.  First of all, we have a fortune in food products in the house which, if we don't eat, will spoil.  Secondly we spend money we could use for other things.  Then there is the question of cleanliness.  I can't see the kitchen or the people preparing my food.  I've seen preparers and servers touch parts of their bodies that concern me.  The rest rooms often have run out of soap.  I don't, you can tell, enjoy eating out!

Even if everything else is OK, there's the question of noisy diners surrounding you.  It feels like they are performing for everyone else.  Sometimes they do monologues on the cell phone which they want everyone else to hear.  Someone should inform them that even if they whisper into the phone, they can be heard in Tokyo. It isn't that I don't like people, I just don't like inconsiderate people.

All food servers must learn from the same manual.  They have a knack for approaching your table just as you've stuffed your mouth with food and inquire if everything is all right, "How is everything?".  If by some remote chance my mouth is not full, I'm tempted to reply, "Mediocre".

Lately, we've been eating out every day,  It's easier and there is no mess to clean up.  That part is good but I don't do that anyhow.  For the few times we use the kitchen now-a-days, I'm considering converting it into a pool room.
