OBAMA/ BORN IN THE USA?

I would never have doubted whether a presidential candidate was born in the USA.  One of the legal  qualifications for being president is that you are a natural born citizen of this country.  Fifty state Secretaries of State received and certified the petitions of all candidates.  Since citizenship is a requirement, along with a specified number of signatures, wouldn't it be reasonable to assume that these state officers would have fulfilled their duty by determining whether or not each is a citizen, has the required number of signatures and meets the age limitations.  Apparently you can't get a drivers license without proof of citizenship but you've got a shot at becoming President.

The refusal of the president to produce his birth certificate only lends credence to the rumor that he may not be a natural born citizen.  He could easily set that rumor to rest but will not.  Is suspicion justified?  I think so.
His reluctance is childish at best and sinister at worst.  If a candidate is required to meet the citizenship test and he has nothing to hide, why wouldn't he produce the evidence instead of telling us he doesn't have to.  He DOES have to!

There are rules for financial disclosure for all candidates.  I think the disclosure requirements should be expanded to include all other legal qualifications as well.  I hope we check to see if these people have rap sheets and I don't mean music.
