Every once in awhile I get a little fed up with people and even though I don't believe it's a conscious thing, I begin to wish everyone were more like me, no, exactly like me! Sounds pretty good to me but I know it sounds very arrogant to you.
Well, when I begin thinking like that, I have a long-standing backstop. There was an episode of the TWILIGHT ZONE in which the main character felt the same way, everyone should be just like he was. By some chance, he discovered an ancient book which contained many secrets and among them was a ritual which showed him exactly what to do to make that desire a reality. It took several attempts but he finally got it right. Everywhere he went from then on everyone he encountered looked, acted, talked and thought just as he did. It wasn't long, of course, before he realized he was talking to himself! What a bore.
I don't remember if the book had a ritual for reversing the process, but if it didn't, he's out there somewhere mumbling to himself. Anyhow, I'm glad everyone else is not just like I am, even if many of them are PITA's. This way, I can continue feeling superior to everyone else but when everyone else is also YOU, how can you do that? I like it this way.
