MONEY CAN'T BUY YOU LOVE

While it is true that money can't buy you love, it can buy necessities and a lot of fun stuff.  For this reason, money is good.  But money can also buy some bad stuff and I'm not speaking about booze and drugs.  Money can buy corrupt politicians, government employees, corrupt business practices, political office (even the Presidency) and finally JUSTICE.

Government, all the way down to the local level, and large companies can destroy people simply by bankrupting them with legal costs.  At the same time, we've seen the difference between "celebrity justice" and the kind ordinary people receive.  In all cases, criminal and civil, the accuser should pay for the defender's legal defense of equal quality of the accuser's if the defender doesn't have the resources.  While many arguments against this system are apparent, it would certainly reduce the number of cases and make the system fairer to those who cannot afford to pay for the best legal representation any other way. Unless the defender has the same quality of representation as the accuser, the scales of justice will pull the lady down.
