The notion that all men are equal has no validity unless we accept God's creation. The obvious differences in people tell us we are not "equal" but the equality does not refer to those characteristics. It refers to our dignity and value as God's creations. There is no logical reason, without accepting creation, for those who are bigger, stronger, smarter or belligerent to use those characteristics to place themselves ahead of the others. The big dog eats first kind of thing.
Our whole government was founded on the notion of the equality of man. We attributed that fact to our common origin as God's children. Secularists will tell us that man can be good and through ethical rules achieve the same equality. Of course, this is not so. If we rely on men to make the rules, there is no permanent standard to evaluate good and bad. Ethics and ethical behavior based on man's whims are always changing. Even criminals have ethics.
We can see the fallacy of the secularist point of view by looking at modern society and its values and the decline of our greatness. All are due to a value system which floats with the wind. A ship needs an anchor: a balloon, a tether and a home a permanent foundation. Without a fixed, unchangeable reference point, we will drift into oblivion.
