We used to be the most respected and admired country in the world. Now, we are the laughing stock of the world and except for the money and other aid we give them, they want nothing to do with us. You can almost see the Stars and Stripes bleeding their colors.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Our Constitution, and its safeguards from tyrants, has helped us to develop a country without equal in all of history. It was no accident or fluke. The principles of freedom enumerated in this document is a road map to success. Everyone has a chance to become the best that they can and want to be. Because there are those who will not respect and abide by that document, we have fallen into disrepair.
It will take a real leader to extract us from this mire, someone who WANTS to return us to our glory days and is not looking for glory for him or herself. We have become an obese country, heavy in debt, regulations, political correctness and a selfish population and government leaders. It is time for a CHANGE, a change back to what has worked well for over 200 years. It is not just the Constitution which made us great. It was people who believed in it and because of their moral character were able to overcome hardships we can only imagine.
It might help if we applied the wise advice applied to hucksters. "If it sounds too good to be true, it is too good to be true". Don't let the demagogues get away with their empty, impossible promises. They will promise anything to get your support even knowing it is a lie.
