IDENTITY THEFT

They say that identity theft is the fastest growing crime.  Is it a surprise when they have the perfect model and manual right in front of them every day.  Our government, in essence, has stolen the identity of our children and grandchildren and is writing bad checks in their name.  As with personal identity theft, it's difficult and costly to recover and repair your identity.

With personal theft, there are sometimes ways to recover or avoid some liability.  When the government is the thief, there is nowhere to turn.  It is the fox in the chicken coop.  Unless something happens soon, our debt will grow from its own weight when we reach the point where our payments won't cover the interest.

We're hearing officially now what we always knew, that there is so much duplication of departments with overlapping responsibilities that we could cut government and spending by significant amounts.  This highlights the fact that government has no clue what laws are on the books and who is responsible for their administration.  If there isn't now, there should be a law review committee which reports on obsolete, duplicate and laws which  are not or cannot be enforced.  These should be stricken and de-funded.  Since these agencies have been in existence for some years, you can imagine the money that was spent for nothing.
