HUMAN INTELLIGENCE

Human intelligence is unique in all creation.  There is no doubt in my mind that other life forms possess some degree of intelligence, some hard wired and the rest deliberate and conscious but none comes close to that of man's.  If evolutionists are correct, it seems that with the billions of different life forms, others would have evolved with equal or superior intelligence.  Creationists believe we were created in the Creator's image, that is, with intelligence, not in form and substance.

Evolution, of course, does take place in response to the demands and circumstances of the environment, but why is man alone in discovering the secrets of the universe and life itself?  Only those who recognize life and can define it would ponder its origin, purpose and destiny. If evolution were a true explanation of man's development then we should see some corresponding intellectual development among all other creatures in response to the changing challenges faced by them.  No such evidence exists.

The concept that no effect can be greater than its cause is true, but every effect has an intrinsic part of its cause embedded in it either in a physical way or as the idea of the creator (cause).  There can be no doubt that every effect has a cause in our physical world and, in the world of ideas, they too result in an effect.  If we can produce an effect with thoughts, it suggests that a greater entity which produced us possess that ability to a higher degree than we do.

Unless, or until, someone can show a corresponding enlightenment or intellectual progression in some other life forms, we must conclude that some intervention by a higher power selected man for a special purpose.  That mystery will elude some minds forever but the answer is simple.  We were created this way.
