WHO IS THE MASTER?

The biblical observation that we cannot serve two masters is obviously right.  When applied to politicians, it has to be edited to say "many masters".

When we believe we elect people to represent US, we are delusional.  That's the way it is supposed to be but it's not.  Every politician is subject to many masters and we are last in line.  First comes the Party then the donors, special interests and re-election.  If we don't fit into those, we have no representation.  Oh, we might squeeze into "re-election" but that's temporary.

If we protest in the wrong places, they can cite us for "contempt" and could fine and jail us, yet, if the contempt the people have for certain jurists and the Congress is real, and it is, it is difficult to replace or punish them.  Incumbents, even the worst, are hard to beat.  Unless ALL the angry people show up at the polls, it will be more of the same.  We have to repeat this until they get the message that we are paying attention and they cannot play these political games any longer.
