Giving thanks for a kindness is customary among civilized, intelligent people. You would believe anyone who was the beneficiary of some good would naturally be thankful for the gift. Somehow, there are many Americans, unable too see the good, who appear to believe they are subsisting in some kind of living hell. Unable to see God's goodness. the sacrifices of our predecessors, the product of freedom we enjoy, even to be miserable ingrates, they wallow in self pity and envious assaults upon those who are, in fact, their benefactors.
Whatever our circumstances, all of us must have something to be thankful for and know to whom we should be thankful. In most cases, we are thankful for the little things which make life worthwhile. There are few enormous events in most of our lives and even if there are, it is still the old "corny" stuff that really counts. A loving spouse and family, enough to get by on and secure in the knowledge that there is Someone who wants us to be happy looking out for us every second of our lives.
I am thankful for all the gifts He has bestowed on me but especially being born in the USA so that my children and theirs have had the opportunity to be born free instead of in some slave country.
THANK YOU GOD!
