In any organization, you pay your dues or you are out! American citizenship should require that EVERONE pay something so they have an investment or stake in what government does. We hear the "top 1% or 5% or 10% pay most of the federal taxes". Shouldn'.t it follow that they have the most to say about how the money is used? Conversely, should those who pay nothing have any say?
The administration, with its class warfare, deprives the low income citizens of the dignity of feeling that they contribute, however little, to their country. If every citizen in the lower, approximately 50% who pay no federal income tax were to pay $100 a year, more revenue would be raised than by raising taxes on those who are the !%'rs. Joe Biden, the clown, in a strange way was right when he said it's "patriotic" to pay taxes. We all are willing, if not anxious, to pay our share but, however you earn your money, there are limits to what you are willing to give up.
The only way those who can will part with their money "happily" is when the feds demonstrate a real need and wise use. Waste, fraud and corruption in government do not inspire people to want to give them more.
