WHEN YOU THINK YOU ARE POOR, THINK AGAIN

Sometimes it's easy to lose sight of what is important.  Just when you think you know, something happens to remind you, even though you always knew it, what life is all about.

I've never been a big fan of birthdays and anniversaries as being "special" days.   If every day is treated as a "special" day, then the others are regular days,  However, the recent celebration executed by our children to celebrate our 65'th wedding anniversary was a special day!  Not only was the food good and plentiful, but all but one of our 10 kids and 4 of our 29 grandchildren were there.  I have never seen so many beautiful and handsome people in one place before.

I was reminded once again that families, especially close ones, are the finest gift one can have.  When I tell them each that they are my "favorite", I mean it: they each are.  Watching them together, seeing how much they love and enjoy each other, is the greatest satisfaction and legacy we could have.

Success and money are good things to have but if you have to make a choice, the richest you can be is to have a family like ours.  We love them all!
