Some people think PROFIT is a bad word. Look around you. Everything in your sight, except your kids, was made possible by someone who wanted to make a PROFIT. People who work for these profiteers work to make a PROFIT from their labor. If it were not for the profit motive, which some confuse with greed, we wouldn't have many of the things we need, beginning with a nice house, and all of the things we want.
We should be grateful that there are people who have the vision and ability to create and produce the things we need or want. Picture your existence without those things someone profited from. Pretty empty world, huh? Picture your Mercedes sitting in your driveway unable to move without some greedy oil and gas company providing the gas it needs.
We can condemn businesses which make a profit only if we're willing to do without the things they provide for us. If you are one of those who complains about the price of necessities yet smoke, drink, gamble, or pay hundreds of dollars for concerts and sporting events, examine your priorities.
