The definition of "secular" seems benign enough but secularists are not satisfied to just believe what they believe, they have become mortal enemies of religion. The militant secularists have the goal of destroying religions by replacing God with things. Many of us have fallen into that trap.
We all agree that governments should neither advocate for nor impose religions of any kind upon the people. We should also agree that governments should neither advocate nor allow attacks upon religions. What passes as "free speech" in attacks upon religion is classified as "hate speech" when directed at certain classes and groups of people. What is the difference?
The weak link in our kind of freedom is that it can be turned upon us as a weapon. People of good will can live in freedom but haters can ruin a good thing. This dilemma creates a conflict which can lead to violence because no legal, peaceful solution is possible
In some way, as religious people gain a full understanding of what is happening, it may, in fact, energize complacent believers to fight back, become more active and vocal in their religious lives. The so-called "secular progressives" would be better named "secular militants" and they ARE our enemies. This isn't just a bunch of fringe loonies. The media and socialist-minded, often wealthy, people are the main culprits. I have concluded that they actually fear religion because it restricts and condemns their wanton ways.
