TERRORISM

Most of us think that "terrorism" refers to external sources of intimidation and violence to coerce us.  Low and behold, the worst examples of terrorism took place right here in the USA when the New Black Panthers made terrorist threats in Florida against our justice system and a suspect in a killing if it didn't meet their demands.  Other examples are the threats made by Media Matters against advertisers on talk radio programs.  Neither were charged with making terrorist threats which tells me that they are also able to intimidate those who are supposed to protect us from terrorists.  An argument can be made that those who are charged with protecting us, but deliberately fail to, are themselves as guilty as the  terrorists.  "Strikes" are, in fact, legalized terrorism since their purpose is the same, to intimidate and coerce, often with violence.  Who is being paid to allow the violence associated with many strikes?  Who allows beatings and murders to go unpunished?

My observation is that only the conservative side of the political spectrum can be terrorized without fear of punishment.  The New Black Panthers who intimidated voters during the last Presidential election were never charged because our Attorney General had a policy that he would not charge black on white terrorism.  There is no reason to expect that he will in the Florida case either.  This kind of prosecutorial discretion has allowed racist policies without accountability.

The chief law enforcement officer of the USA is  guilty, not only of incompetence and lying to the Congress, but also has shown that he is a racist.  To tolerate that from the person charged with prosecuting racial biases shows preferential rights for one race over another.  If the reverse were true, you know he'd have been gone a long time ago.

When foreign terrorists strike us, we have no control. When domestic terrorists are allowed to strike without punishment, it's akin to governments in the Middle East which shoot at its own people.  When governments don't protect its citizens, they will learn to protect themselves.
