STAND YOUR GROUND

If you were walking down a dark street in a bad neighborhood and suddenly someone appeared with a gun in one hand and a knife in the other and demanded, "Your money or your life", give him the money!  If you are Israel and an enemy threatens, "Your country or your life", you STAND YOUR GROUND!

If anyone, including the USA, thinks they have a right to ask another country to risk its very existence, for any reason, they are whatever the superlative for "wrong" might be.  Individuals have the right to "fight or flee" but nations have an obligation to defend themselves whatever the consequences.  Those countries which surrendered to the Nazi's without a fight made the wrong choice.

It's apparent to me that many of those countries which refuse to defend Israel probably hope for one of two results: that Israel will do their dirty work for them or that Israel's enemies will complete the Nazis final solution.  In the face of the threats Israel has faced since its inception, it defies common sense that the free world has not intervened long ago.  If an individual or a nation knows it has been threatened with extinction, they have a right to STAND THEIR GROUND with maximum force and before the enemy strikes.

What do you think, or do you?
