THE 1%'RS

Thank God for the one percenters.  Most wealthy people are generous contributors to all kinds of charities.  Many even have established foundations which contribute to the general health and welfare of our citizens, AND they are job creators in many ways.

When you drive through wealthy neighborhoods and see all those beautiful homes, someone built them, others produced the furnishings, still others maintain them and they purchase many goods and services the non-one percenters could not afford. If there's a pool and tennis courts, someone was hired to build them.  All those people have jobs because someone can afford what they do.  If there is a yacht tied up at the dock, a heliport in the yard and a private plane in the hanger, all those who built those had jobs because someone could afford what they do.  You get the idea?

People who earn more than they can spend, and even some who don't, invest what is left over so it can earn more money for them.  This is a clew, they don't just put it into a savings account.  They invest in enterprises which hire people to do something which will make a profit and share the profit with them.  This creates jobs.  If people who would invest believe an investment is risky, they do not invest and no jobs are created.  It makes sense to allow the greatest freedom for those who want to begin businesses which in turn require them to hire people to work for them.

The meaning of this story is that without people with money who are willing to risk it only if they receive something in return if successful and willing to take a chance on losing it all, no one would have a job.  Thank God for the one percenters!
