KING OF THE HILL

We, our country, are perched on a mountaintop.  We've climbed the mountain from the energy of a free society and in the short span of less than 300 years, we have built the most powerful and prosperous nation in the history of man.  We are the envy of the world and I mean ENVY.

 

In the game of King of the Hill, the King stands on top of a dirt pile while would be deposers rush up the hill from all sides, in an attempt to dethrone the King.  Envy of the King, his wealth and power, drive these individuals to superhuman feats but a REAL King withstands the assaults.

 

We ARE the King of the Hill.  We got here peacefully and only because we have been lucky enough to have people with courage, vision, ability and FREEDOM to use them.  Others, with domestic and societal problems view us much as Obama views the wealthy of our country.  They believe that there is no fairness in our being wealthy while they live in mediocrity.  Because their systems are aimed  at keeping them in that condition, they cannot rise to our level.  Many of them have the ability but not the freedom.  This is evident from the thousands of small businesses which have been formed by immigrants from these repressive countries.

 

We ARE the King of the Hill but to stay here, we must be strong enough to withstand attacks from all sides, even above and below, by those who would topple us.  Many of our adversaries don't think in terms of conquest and spoils.  Their sole objective is our destruction just from pure hatred.  These are the deadliest enemy since they don't fight for conquest.  They don't have to invade and hold territory.  These are the terrorists who hit and run, create fear, suspicion and uncertainty and this is their goal.

 

The only way to combat these sacrificial warriors is to do our best to send them to their eternal rewards as quickly as possible.
