PTSD

Post traumatic stress disorder comes in many stripes.  When a result of war or some kind of disaster, recovery is difficult, sometimes impossible.  When it is a result of a failed government, usually those causing it are immune to the consequences while the stress is left for future generations.

When parents and grandparents ignore the consequences for their children and grandchildren, we are left to wonder who there is to care.  It is even more perplexing that the idealism of youth blinds them to the deep hole they are digging for themselves and their children.  When detected, failed policies are usually rejected by the people in time to save the day.  This time, almost as though in an hypnotic state, many of those who will become victims voted for their own demise, societal and financial suicide.

I hope these predictions are wrong but I don't think so.  If there is not a dramatic shift in the policies of the past four years, we will become the former greatest country of history.  Imagine your children living in the ruins of greatness.
