CANCER AND CLOTHING

Although I am no expert on cancer, I do know that cells run amok and reproduce in an irregular way. There are probably many conditions or agents which initiate the process but, in the end, whatever signals cells to stop reproducing when repairs for some damage are completed, fail because the cells have lost their ability to respond and end the process.

We know that in some circumstances when soft tissues are compressed and irritated by tight clothing while extra heat is produced and retained, can cause physical and physiological problems, as with men wearing tight shorts. Local heat retention simulates chronic inflamation.

A similar situation exists when women wear tightly fitting bras, there is compression of soft tissue and irritation, both of which produce heat, and constructed of material which prevents the normal cooling of the parts.  These artificial environmental conditions could, and probably are, contributing causes for some cancers.

As with so many things we know little about, where there is a POTENTIAL risk when we do certain things, that potential risk is eliminated completely if we avoid those conditions.  I make no recommendations, this is just something to consider.  I wonder if we know the rate of breast cancer among primitive women who let it all hang out.
