We are guaranteed many rights because they are derived from the absolute authority of our Creator. Some of us believe we have rights bestowed upon us by our government, but these are necessarily fragile because they are bestowed by man. They can change with the wind, weather and an election.
We have a right to strive for success and the material benefits which follow. We have a right to be poor if there are physical or mental conditions which prevent us from working or some other unusual circumstances. If we are poor for any other reasons, it's a choice, but others are not obligated to care for us.
Any person receiving assistance, for reasons other than those listed above, does not have a right to that help. They demean themselves while stealing from others. It is they who produce a reluctance among many to provide help.
