We can never know our real selves unless we are tested. Without challenges or temptations, anyone can LOOK good. Give yourself a test, even though not real , if you answer honestly, it will give you some indication of what you might do
For a million dollars, would you: kill someone, rob a bank, disrobe on Times Square, cheat on your spouse, etc? Would you appear on reality shows where you eat bugs, on talk shows where you bare your most intimate secrets or, if you're chubby, appear on "Biggest Loser"? Would you go to war and risk your life to defend your country?
We try to avoid temptations and danger, and we should, but if never tempted we can never be certain if it's our character or the avoidance that is at work. I'm not suggesting you look for temptations to find out but I am saying don't be too self congratulatory if you've never been tempted or been faced with doing unpleasant things.
If you actually did the self examination above, go back and do it again for a fee of TEN MILLION DOLLARS! If any of your answers change, I suggest you go see your priest or some kind of counselor. If not, congratulations, you are a millionaire!
