I'm one of those people who is easy to please. I'm willing to do the most outrageous things or hang out doing nothing. I have no taste so I can eat at a "greasy spoon" or the finest restaurant in town: drink "sneaky Pete" or the finest wine on the list. For me, any option at whatever is OK. As I said, I'm easy to please.
One of my most difficult decisions is trying to find something to do that will make my wife happy. She and I are exact opposites when it comes to "things to do". Usually, after considering all the options, we wind up going somewhere to eat. Until recently, even that used up considerable time, but we have discovered a place we both like where the menu is practically up to you and you can have as much or as little as you want from soup to desserts. "The Old Country Buffet" is God's gift to those who can't make up their minds. This place has become the default option under "things to do".
Still, it would be comforting to have a list of "real" things to do. How many times can you go visit your kids, go to the boardwalk or the mall or even Costco? When you are old enough to have done all the things you can afford to do thousands of times, it does, as they say,"get old". You even reach the stage where almost anything you buy, especially if it has a long warranty, is not a good investment.
If you know of things to do for $100 or less that will not kill OCTO's, let me know.
