Medicare is going to go broke in just a few years. It will, as the next few years will show, diminish in quality on the way because money diverted from Medicare to pay for Obama's "Affordable health care", will reduce doctor and hospital services payments under Medicare even more, and more health care providers will stop their participation in the program. No health care program can succeed without willing providers.
Obama has no plan to "fix" Medicare. The Republican plan (Paul Ryan's Plan) will not affect those currently enrolled in Medicare but provides a gradual series of changes which will "save" an otherwise certain bankruptcy of Medicare. As Obama is fond of saying, "It is fair". As Paul Ryan says, "It is NECESSARY to save Medicare". Doing nothing will ensure the demise of Medicare for EVERYONE.
Those who try to frighten those of us on Medicare should be ashamed of themselves. How can they expect their children to not bully and lie. Anyone who will bully and lie to others for personal gain deserves no respect. It's even worse when they themselves are afraid to do something to correct the problem for fear of losing votes.
We should respect the integrity and honesty of those who, knowing doing the right thing could cost them, do it anyhow. I'll go with the courageous and condemn the fear mongers.
